There is a half marathon (13.1 miles), 10K (6.2 miles) and a 5K (3.1 miles). There are 1 mile, .5 mile, and .25 mile kids race options.

Packet pick up will be Saturday, October 19 11:00am-6:00pm at the Madison Marriott West. There is no Sunday packet pick up.

Packets must be picked up at packet pickup on Saturday. Please plan accordingly, especially if participating in the kids race or 5k on Saturday.

Yes. Just make sure they have a copy of your ID – printed or a picture on your phone.

The Dreambank Haunted Hustle is proud to support Tri 4 Schools as our official race charity partner. 100% of every kids race registration goes directly to Tri4Schools. We also support several other non-profits including; the University of Wisconsin clubs, My Team Triumph, and several other volunteer charities.

All registered runners receive a racer goody bag, racer bib & timing chip, tech t-shirt, finisher medal (after finish), and post-race food & beverage.

We can change your registration for your at packet pick-up. Just stop by the Information Booth & make sure you start at the correct start time.

Yes. The deadline to transfer is always the Monday of race week.  After this, you will need to do your transfer at packet pick-up on Saturday, 10/19.

No, you must officially transfer your bib for medical and ethical reasons.

Refunds are not offered under any circumstances.

Yes! Walk, run, skip, stroll…all are welcome!

If you’re trying to break world records – we suggest you find a different race. If you can’t support other runners achieving a goal of walking a race (maybe their first!), then this race isn’t for you. Yes, you might have to go around some walkers, but when you do – say hi and give them a cheer. They might just do the same and send you positive vibes on your way to a PR. If you’re planning to walk part of the race, please be courteous to the other runners and make sure they have room to pass you.

Strollers are allowed in the 5K Stroller Derby.

No. We love pups and they are amazing training partners, but leave them safely at home – away from the loud noises, the crowds, & out of the heat. But tell them all about your race time splits when you get home – they are the best listeners!

The 5K & 10K are flat & fast around the boulevards of the business park near KEVA, and include paved trail of the Pheasant Branch Conservancy bike path & trail. 
The half marathon course will turn you into one strong runner! Be prepared for hills!

You’ll get your bib along with your goody-bag at packet pick-up

Only the coolest, glow in the dark, most awesome finisher medal out there! All finishers of all distances (yes, 5K!) will receive a finisher medal. Yes, ALL of you.

Our race is capped at 4500 participants.

Online registration closes the Wednesday prior the event. If there are still spots available, on-site registration will be available at packet pickup.

The race will go on rain or shine. However, if there is inclement weather in the area, Haunted Hustle implements the 30/30 rule. If we hear thunder within 30 seconds after lightning, then the race will be delayed 30 minutes. Due to our agreement with the local municipalities, the course cut-off will need to remain the same at 6:30pm & 2:00pm.
This is at the discretion of the parent. Any participant under the age of 18 must have a parent/guardian sign the participant wavier. The kids Race is intended for participants 2-13.

The half marathon and 10k course will officially close at 2pm. The 5K course will officially close at 6:30pm, which gives 2 hours for the 5k.

If you are not going to finish within that time limit, you are absolutely welcome to finish the race, we will do our best to help ensure you have an enjoyable finish experience. Just know that it may not be supported by volunteers or police. You may be asked to move to the sidewalk.

Water and Sports Drink. Certain aid stations have Powerbar Gels. Plus cheers from the most amazing volunteers.

Yes! We have Middleton EMS that will be stationed at the finish line. We also have several City of Middleton police stationed at key intersections. All of our aid stations will be equipped with basic first aid kits. If you need immediate medical attention, alert the nearest volunteer and they will call for help.

There will be ample portopotties located directly to the west of the starting line. There will also be a portopottie at each aid station.

Yes. You can run with headphones, but you are responsible for knowing the course and being able to listen to volunteers.
